  1. Hrmmm... while I have complained about the location of the last couple of bosses and how far we had to go, Moder was pretty much thrown in our laps. The mountain range above our first black forest base not only has the altar of Moder, but I have counted no fewer that four towers with accompanying rune stones that reveal Moder's location in that same mountain range.

I actually have only bothered to look at one other mountain range, and that was so small that there was naught to be seen.

    1. Searching mountains has been most of what I've done for a week now. I can't say it hasn't been enjoyable for the most part but I'm starting to feel like there are more useful things I could be doing with my time. If I don't find it in the next day or two I'm probably going to use the trick that reveals all of the map (not the one I actually use, obviously) just so I can get a general idea of the part of the world I should be in.

  2. The Dev's have noted that being unable to find Moder on some worlds was a bug. They have been waiting for Steam to update for last 2 weeks to fix this issue along with many other bug fixes. As of Today Steam was updated and the Devs was able to push their bug fixes of the game out. So in the patch notes it does say that it was fixed with the issue of being previously unable to find Moder. Hope that helps.

    1. Per the update notes:

      * Missing Moder spawn location in some worlds fixed (NOTE: For existing worlds "genloc" command needs to be run manually in a local game with dev commands enabled to generate new locations, this is only needed if your specific world has this issue, this is not very common)

  3. Looks like you have my luck! The RNG in the plains feels worse. I've got a few quibbles with the game design, but my only true pain point is the RNG in the boss stones. I'd be more in to collecting items, putting them at the altar, and that acting as the boss stone instead. I would gladly transport an Egg to the altar if that meant not having to find a stone tower.

    1. I think there's merit in having to explore to find the various triggers but there should be some kind of safety-net to make sure an enjoyable adventure doesn't turn into a painful slog. I'd probably go for some kind of timer based off each boss's death, where if you hadn't opened the marker on the map within a certain number of played hours it would automatically appear. Then you'd at least know the longest you'd have to wait.
