I don’t know what it is about EQ2, but I always feel a tinge of sadness when I play the game. I was never there in the beginning to see how things were once upon a time, but I’ve always felt like I was arriving late to a party that was almost over. I enjoy EQ2 quite a bit, don’t get me wrong. Exploration in MMOs is huge for me and I think EQ2 does a fine job there. I just wish I could shake off the ghosts while playing.

RCRandolph Carterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00269753792960896784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1510920011443550663.post-2809722033132584722012-01-05T16:41:22.758+00:002012-01-05T16:41:22.758+00:00Your blog is delightful, both in in your informati...Your blog is delightful, both in in your informative posts and your stories. The ratonga are my favorites to play. I made a dark elf beastlord because I wanted a bat warder, but I so love the sight of a big tiger with a little ratonga.Leesa Logichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02950850262797232142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1510920011443550663.post-47385687952455866952012-01-03T19:12:48.729+00:002012-01-03T19:12:48.729+00:00@gamingsf Funny you should ask because that was th...@gamingsf Funny you should ask because that was the original motivation for the post until it span off in another direction. Suffice it to say I took some of the screenshots above on the day I wrote the post.

Probably going to do a follow-up on both the Isle post and the Dungeon Maker, about which I've learned more since I wrote.Bhagpusshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03499162165023939880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1510920011443550663.post-48958858809990984652012-01-03T12:06:40.566+00:002012-01-03T12:06:40.566+00:00A really nice evocative post! I never experienced the Isle of Refuge as a real late comer to the game - does it still exist albeit in 'retired' form?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1510920011443550663.post-88760121663586796122012-01-02T21:23:03.893+00:002012-01-02T21:23:03.893+00:00Ah, memories.
