Everyone know they need cohoperation for get them and a great quantity of players that never tryed wvw are tempted to try it now, who will refuse gain more achievement poitns and some reward chests?

Yesterday monday TC continued to be the top poobah, the 4 maps having queues. TC is the unnoficial roleplay server and while we have a good quantity of players that like wvw massive combats, I am sure it is not the majority. The wvw achievements made the TC player population go try wvw and while we don't have zergs so big like the other two golden league servers, for the first time I see we have zergs at all 4 maps. Normally we had only one zerg that moved from map to map.João Carloshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03071469488376795686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1510920011443550663.post-60042503744645207112013-10-22T12:05:05.955+01:002013-10-22T12:05:05.955+01:00It's fascinating how widely the WvW experience...It's fascinating how widely the WvW experience varies depending on server, time-zone and affiliation. I am having to eat my words about nothing changing under this new system because as far as Yak's Bend goes everything changed overnight. Okay, I exaggerate, but I commented to Mrs Bhagpuss last night that I had literally never seen YB play in such a focused and organized way and just a few minutes later one of our top Commanders made the same observation in Team chat.

At one point, after we'd retaken our own Garrison after a completely unexpected steal and had just pushed Borlis out of Bay again, no fewer than eight commanders appeared, working together, to split the zerg into teams to rebuild and refortify everything, walk yaks and basically put our border into order. Normally this is the point when most people would find they had better things to do, leaving the hard work to the hardcore but this time everyone stayed until the job was done.

Stuff like that has been happening each time I've played this week. The oddest thing is that largely its all the same Commanders we've had for most of the year. Some of them, especially the most active and influential ones, have been tagged up since they scraped together the gold just after launch. Our leadership hasn't changed but suddenly most people seem to have started listening to them and doing what they're asked to do.

How long it will last remains to be seen but I'm making the most of the experience while it's here. Certainly there's going to be less opportunity arising when facing the super heavyweights in the coming weeks.

To console myself, I briefly went through a mindless hour of ruins circle-capping, which was an amusing exercise in actively trying not to run into players of an opposing server (so that the ruins were available for re-capping much sooner) while spontaneously congregating together for safety, broken up by Maguuma who insisted on running head-on into us while outnumbered, only to discover that 75% of the TC achievement whores in the ruins were either in roaming or tanky zerg spec and not mere PvE pushovers.

I've also spent a cynical hour watching two "zergs" stare off each other in a throwback to Warhammer Online, trying to range plink each other to death unsuccessfully - a symptom indicative of a leaderless commanderless horde keeping self-preservation in mind at all times and suggestive of inexperienced WvWers. Unfortunately, no one was available to train them, and they probably wouldn't have listened. So it goes.

And I've spent possibly 5-8 hours following a detagged commander in a solid guilded group, going through zergs 1.5-2x our size and giggling. Lots of insane giggling. Certain zergs are so inexperienced that my survival rate is markedly higher - a highlight of the night was my lil asura barreling through tons of red names to randomly pick on one motionless ranger who obligingly stayed still enough for me to hammer banish him off the cliff he was standing beside, and then barreling back out again -still alive-.

I'm starting to get anxious that I can't juggle serious WvW time with PvE goals and Living Story achievements again, just a few days in. Hours spent playing WvW is lost candy corn or gold farming time. Do I want a dolyak finisher more or a Bloody Prince mini? Something's going to give eventually again.Jeromaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02206083433625986970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1510920011443550663.post-3465197474930390542013-10-21T23:41:45.329+01:002013-10-21T23:41:45.329+01:00This evening was even better than last night. Seems to be going down well if numbers turning out is anything to go by.Bhagpusshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03499162165023939880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1510920011443550663.post-78741928794355253672013-10-21T19:27:44.799+01:002013-10-21T19:27:44.799+01:00Tarnished Coast server is going better than I hope...Tarnished Coast server is going better than I hoped against the otehr two gold servers; until sunday night we were the top one, not sure how is going this monday.

IMHO the new achievements are bringing a lot of new players to wvw, people that never tryed wvw before. That maybe make a diference to the lower rank wvw servers, because I think their problem is not exactly low population (all servers are full or high population) but mostly players don't like pvp.

The bad thing is that it is being impossible for me enter Eternal Battleground map (Eternal Queue) and the 3 other maps have a queue that go from 20 minutes to 2 hours.João Carloshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03071469488376795686noreply@blogger.com
