In The Country

Just a short post to say I'm back from an equally short holiday where we stayed in a "log cabin" (Aka converted garden shed - but very nicely converted!) on a farm that turned out, somewhat to my surprise but rather to my delight, to have no WiFi coverage whatsoever. I took my laptop but all I used it for was to watch old music videos that I had thoughtfully taken with me. That may result in a back catalog post at some point.

It was quite odd not to look at anything online for almost three days. I could technically have used my phone but the signal was barely there either and I chose not to bother trying to find a better one when we visited what passed for civilization in those parts. It was really nice not to have to think about looking stuff up for once, although I think three days was probably enough.

Anyway, we had a great time, the weather was unbelievably good for the time of year and Beryl went crazy when we took her to the seaside, which we did twice. It was worth the trip just for that. 

We're back now and what passes for normal service will be resumed tomorrow. Probably. If I'm in the mood and if I have time after I've picked up the more than a hundred apples that fell onto the lawn in the time we were away. Literally. I counted a hundred and thirty before I gave up.
