    I guess that Slade (or something Slade-like) is a staple of Christmas songs in Britain, so why not?

    As for The Very Most's song, it feels really kind of 90s alternative. Something I would have heard on WOXY back in the day.

      A very Brit-Centric day, for sure. You really need to know both the original songs being referenced and/or covered to appreciate just how god these two are. I almost included the originals so people who didn't know them could compare but that wouldn't give you the required half-century of involuntary exposure we've all had over here.
