    If Alanis Morrissette did a New Wave Christmas song... And the thing is, it is much better of a song than that description might imply.

      I am not a fan of Alanis Morissette althoughthat's becoming an increasingly awkward position to maintain as she moves ever closer to sainthood in so many peoples' eyes.

      I think the fact she went her own way rather than trying to chase fame after her star began to fade is what keeps some of those fans around. The fact that You Oughta Know is very quaint compared to songs even five years later probably helps.
