    I've never heard of John Otway, but damn. I've since found some of his stuff on YouTube and... he's definitely unique. Kinda punk, kinda rock, but definitely a unique spirit.

      He's a one-off, alright. He was also a one hit wonder for a long time until he finally managed to get a second chart placing decades after his first. I saw him play a couple of times in the 80s. One time his guitar strap broke and his guitar fell to the floor, making one of the loudest sounds I've ever heard. Another time, he got fed up with someone taunting him from the mosh pit, a frequent event at his gigs, and tried to take the guy's head off with his guitar. It's lucky he didn't connect or he'd be getting out of prison right about now...
