    Wow. Until I heard this song I was wondering about the Naughty designation for it, but man. I have never heard of Captain Beefheart, but after this I went down the rabbit hole for a while. I really recommend "I'm Gonna Booglarize You, Baby" because of the vibes similar to Spill the Wine by War.

      I did a double-take when I read that you'd never heard of Captain Beefheart. Given what I know about your age and musical taste I find that quite astonishing. I was trying to think what sort of equivalent level of fame I'd put him on and it's really quite hard to assess. He's at the very top of the cult figure rankings, I'd say. The obvious comparison would be Frank Zappa (Who I can't stand.) not least because of their connections. When you read about one, the other often gets mentioned .

      Other than that, I'd say Beefheart would have higher name recognition than Dr. John but maybe lower than Tom Waits. They'd all be in the same general tier of celebrity though, I guess. Anyyway, I'm very happy to have introduced you to the Captain. I have another Captain coming up later. We'll see if he's new to you, too!
